Materra Winery (Napa)
We stumbled on Materra a few years back when one of my colleagues went out to Napa to find some more wineries to represent. Wow! Materra is one of the newer kids on the Napa block. The Cunats are doing it right and if you haven't heard about them you will. Enter in Winemaker Chelsea Barrett who is uber talented and winemaking is in her blood.

Favorite wines of Luke's : Materra Chardonnay (one of my favorite Chards anywhere), Materra Midnight is a really cool blend while the Materra Right Bank is their flagship and deservedly so. Don't miss out on the Materra Hidden Block Cabernet Sauvignon as it is unreal and gorgeous!

Brutocao Family (Mendocino)
The Brutocao family has been a fixture in the Mendocino wine culture for over 70 plus years. Now operated by the three brothers this winery is a great value and all the wines are delicious. A real gem across the board! Steve Brutocao was a guest of ours on season 1 of the Cork & Taylor Wine Podcast!

Favorite wines of Luke's : Brutocao Quadiga is the bomb! You will never see this blend anywhere in Italy and delicious. All their Bliss wines are solid and the Brutocao Cabernet Sauvignon is hands down a great bang for the buck. The wine would be at least double the price if it read Napa or Sonoma on the label.
